There's a good selection of proper Liverpudlian pubs, and a choice of eateries and coffee shops from Costa to the McDonalds and a giant LIDL right on your doorstep! You can cycle to Liverpool Uni or John Moores under 10 mins or get a bus in just under 20. A taxi (if you have popped out and it's got a bit late) should be around £10.
