Leytonstone high road is nearby, with lots of excellent cafes and good restaurants. Also the Wanstead flats are a few minutes away, for those who like walking and running. If you have a car parking can be arranged for the cost of a permit. In the house already are myself - a professional woman and my son. It's a sociable, friendly and positive household. Leytonstone High Road overground station is a few minutes away. Leytonstone Underground on the Central line is a short walk, and this is a reliable quick route into central London. The road is super quiet and leafy. There are some wonderful cafes and restaurants. Leytonstone High Road nearby has all kinds of useful and creative shops and a village-like character. There is a park and woodland a few minutes away - so a rare combination of liveliness and nearby nature.
