Available from August/September 2026 Hello! We are renting a large double room (with a very comfy king-sized bed) in our beautiful period home in Montpelier, a bohemian area close to the centre of Bristol. The house is on a friendly road, close to several lovely neighbourhoods with great cafes, restaurants and independent shops. We’re also a short walk into the centre of Bristol, and well-connected by train (Montpelier train station) to Temple Meads and other areas of Bristol (. Clifton, Redland, Easton), as well as being nearby bus routes and electric scooter points. We are a couple in our mid-40s with a young child (a four year old). We work as a clinical psychologist and an animation director and we are calm and friendly people. We also have a very chilled out cat. The room is large, on the ground floor, with storage space and a lockable door. The bed is super comfortable to sleep in with a king-sized Loaf 'perfect mattress'. You would have access to a clean and stylish loo and wet room on the floor below with a great shower. You'd be welcome to use our washing machine and tumble dryer if you needed to and if you needed to leave possessions over the weekends we can also work out a way for you to do that. We have a back garden with chairs on the decking and a grassy space below. If you wanted to use this that would also be fine (although it's probably a bit cold at the moment!) You would also have access to our kitchen and utensils, with space in the fridge and cupboards to store food. The kitchen is within our communal living space which you'd also be welcome to use to watch TV or relax in. We work from home quite a bit so this room would suit someone who is out for work in the day. We have both travelled for work before and would like to provide a calm, cosy and comfortable space for you to be able to get a refreshing night's sleep and cope well with your working day. If you have any questions let us know. If you only need a room for fewer days a week we have done this before (£400 for 2 nights a week and £500 for 3 nights). We are less than ten minutes walk to Montpelier train station which connects to Temple Meads and also other areas of Bristol (. Redland, Stapleton Road and Clifton Down). We are near buses and an electric scooter drop off too. You can walk into the city centre easily (or jump on a bus if you prefer) and the train to Temple Meads takes 9 minutes. Montpelier is a great location. It has a lovely community feel, with some great shops nearby and some beautiful street art. Picton Street just down the road has The Bristolian cafe which does fantastic food and coffees, Radford Mill Farm Shop, Bianchi’s Italian restaurant, and the Thali Cafe - delicious Indian food. Further along are Stokes Croft and Gloucester Road - with a lively night life vibe with plenty of bars and restaurants and independent shops. In the other direction, St Werburghs has a more hippyish feel to it - also with great independent places including the City Farm Cafe which does amazing food. A short walk into town finds you spoilt for choice for eateries and places to have a drink. There are some lovely local parks near us too, and Narroways nature reserve as well as the city farm. There are also local corner shops selling everything you might need and open late, and a small local Tesco - very easy to grab a few bits for the week.
