Supermarkets We have a Tesco, Aldi, and Lidle about 10 minutes in the car and a Morrisons about 5 minutes drive. In the opposite direction, again a 10-minute drive is Sainsbury's and a large M&S Food Hall. Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Tesco will all do home delivery. A 1 minute walk from the house is a Morrisons daily which is open till 10pm and a 5 minute walk into the town centre is a smaller Tesco and M&S foofhall. Local Restaurants There are so many but here are some I like. For more fine dining we would recommend The Walrus or Lion and Pheasant which are located in town or Hencote has a beautiful view over the town. Italian - La Dolce Vita or Osteria Da Paolo. For a good curry The Curry House or Avatar. Pizza - Dough & Oil. The Istanbul Restaurant has a wide selection of charcoal grills. Momo's Noodle Bar is nice. The Olive tree or Casa Naranjo for Tapas. House of the Rising Sun and The Armoury are always firm favorites, along with Cote and Bistro Jacques. And not forgetting The Boat House, which has a great outdoor space and overlooks the river. Number Four does a great brunch. We also like Hickory's and have a Nando's and a Harvester near the cinema Trains Shrewsbury Train Station, Castle Foregate, Shrewsbury SY1 2DQ. 8 minutes walk. Buses Bus stop for buses to town centre 3 minutes walk on New Park Street.
