Hi. We are a gay couple (live-in landlords, aged 43 and 55) offering our bright guest room for a lodger in Bow, for a four-night midweek arrangement, ideal for someone commuting home for the weekend. The space is yours from Monday evening through to Friday morning, and you are very welcome to leave belongings neatly in the room over the weekend so you don't have to carry a heavy bag. The room is for single occupancy (i. e. not couples). It's bright, with a double bed, wardrobe, Chromecast TV, and a table and seat. The shared spaces are the kitchen and the bathroom (as seen on the floorplan), and the flat has wifi, a dishwasher, smart heating, and great views towards the City and Canary Wharf. As live-in landlords, we’re friendly, but tend to keep to ourselves and won’t expect a lot of interaction. The room would suit someone whose working day is mostly office-based. This is because our own work (involving vulnerable children and confidential financial information), means we often need the flat to ourselves between 9.30am and 6.30pm in the week. 5 minutes to Bow Church DLR for Canary Wharf. 10mins to the District/Central lines for the City. About 30mins to London City Airport. About 45 minutes to the Eurostar at St. Pancras. Bus routes 8 and 25 stop within a few of minutes' walk. 488 for the big Tesco at Bromley-by-Bow, and 276 or 339 for the shopping and leisure facilities at Westfield Stratford. Bow offers everyday convenience with Tesco Express and Anytime Fitness side-by-side less than 10 minutes away. Roman Road is great for shopping, including its Market (Tue & Thu), for fresh fruit, veg, fish and meat. The nearby "Idea Store" library runs community courses. Other gyms include PureGym at Bow Wharf and The Gym Group at Bromley-by-Bow. Victoria Park (10 minutes' walk) offers lakeside walks, playgrounds and sports pitches. Several local cafés and pubs are also with easly walking distance.
