Hi everyone! I’m moving out of my 1-bed flat to be with my partner. Sad to leave as it’s been a modern, peaceful space that’s well-connected! **A bit about the the flat:** - Furnished, with plenty of storage - Bedroom is behind a glass divider, creating a sense of spaciousness (curtains can be drawn) - The double bed is Murphy-style, so it can fold up into the wall if more space is needed - Lots of natural light: the flat has high ceilings, large windows, and sun roof at the entrance - Open-plan kitchen with modern appliances: induction hob, oven with slide-and-hide door (like the ones on Bake-Off), washing machine, microwave, and a full-sized fridge. - The bathroom is modern with heated floors - The flat faces a quiet side-street, so it’s well isolated from main road noise **Transport connections:** - 2 min walk to Loughborough junction station (National Rail), 1 stop to Elephant & castle and 2 stops to Blackfriars - 12 mins walk to Brixton station/tube station - 15-20 mins cycle to London Bridge/ Vauxhall/Clapham - Communal bike storage space with security cameras - Communal terrace on top floor overlooking the junction **Utility bills per month** - Gas: £15 - Electricity: £42 - Water: £31 - Council tax: £130 (with single person discount) - Internet: £30 - Total bills: £248 The internet bills can be cheaper and Hyperoptic Fibre has been installing their setup in the building so there should be more options for broadband. **A bit more about living here ** - The neighbours in the building are quiet and everyone keeps to themselves. - The sun rises and sets almost parallel to the windows so you'll get sunlight throughout the whole day. - It's very easy to go for impromptu dinner and enjoy the hubbub of Brixton and Camberwell - The flat is right next to Ruskin park and their sauna and is a short walk to Brixton on one side, and Camberwell on the other side. - If you like getting out and staying active, Brockwell Park is 15 mins walk away - great for runs, or even a swim in the lido. You are also 8 mins walk away from Brixton recreation centre if you need an all-year round indoor pool. - The landlord Haile is very responsive and will arrange a gas/water/electricity engineer immediately if you need. I have only needed to do so when I moved in early on, not since. - I've hosted gatherings/parties of 20-25 people in the flat with the bed folded up - There's a whatsapp groupchat to keep track of who's responsible for taking the bins out and if anyone's home for parcel delivery to the building. **Letting details** I currently have a fixed-term contract running until February 2027, but I’m looking for a replacement tenant as I’ll be moving in with my partner.
