This is free on Monday 4 August 2025 for one month only, and only from Monday to Friday each week, not at weekends, when the current tenant will be there. This is NOT a one bed flat, or a whole property, it is a large studio room for a single person with own cooking/living/office/bedroom area. There is a small shower room and utility room which are shared with the other two studio rooms. Fast flowing shower on the mains. Available Monday 4th August for one month only Monday- Friday only. There will be things in the room as the current occupant is back at weekends. The room has a window to the lane. Cosy and bright, light and airy, this room is ideal for one person who wants a quiet rural retreat for weekdays only, during August. Situated down a leafy lane to fields and a stream in the beautiful village of Sutton Courtenay. Easy access to the A34 to Oxford and to Didcot train station and 30 seconds from the bus stop to Didcot, Abingdon and Harwell, from Abingdon a bus to Oxford or from Didcot. 20 minute walk to Milton Park. The kitchen area is equipped with a mini-oven and grill with two hotplates, a microwave and small fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery, saucepans and utensils. The floor is carpeted with brown carpet. There is a cream metal standard sized bed in the room. Sutton Courtenay has two village stores, one a couple of minutes walk away with a post office, a service station, three pubs on or near the village green and a church and Abbey and nice Thames path across the weirs. There is a regular bus service every hour to and from Abingdon and Didcot and buses stop 30 seconds walk away. From there you can get buses and trains to Oxford approximately every 15 minutes and the train to London Paddington takes 40 minutes from Didcot. There is off road parking for one car. The price includes gas central heating on a timer for a couple of hours in the mornings and for four hours in the evenings during the week and more at weekends as required, at 19 or 20 degrees, during the colder months, and broadband and other bills so there is nothing more to pay. However it does not include daytime weekday heating, so if working from home between the hours of 9 am and 6 pm weekdays, any gas and electricity used would need to be worked out and paid for separately. Could suit single professional or intern at Harwell/Rutherford, Diamond Light source or Appleford, or other professional person. The accommodation is quite basic, it used to be a flat but is now 3 studio rooms, each with their own cooking/kitchen area, and there is no communal space, so if you are looking for a shared house and a lot of socializing, this would not suit you. You might sometimes bump into people in the hallway and utility room but that's about it.
