Entering next to the cosy second sitting room, you’ll then come to the open-plan living area beneath it – decorated in red and gold, with many antiques. The sitting area has graceful seats, gilded side tables and ornaments, and there’s a dining area too – its glossy table placed beside a wall-wide oil painting. You’ll also spot the entrance to the office, which has an antique kneehole desk. Back at the entrance, the hallway leads first to the fourth bedroom, then to the smart little kitchen. Beyond that you’ll find the second bedroom (with an ensuite), the green-and-gold third bedroom (also with an ensuite) and the master bedroom. It’s suitably splendid, with a yellow silk bed and matching ruched curtains, and a bold yellow-tiled ensuite. Home Truths:This home doesn't have air-conditioning.
