I'm going travelling for 6-7 weeks in the summer and would like to rent out my super comfortable, sunny, 1 bed flat in Zone 3, South London. The flat is available from 29 June > 12 August, though I can be flexible up until 19 August if needed. It's fully furnished / kitted out, and all bills – energy, water, council tax, internet, Amazon Prime – are included in the price. I bought the flat four years ago and really love living here. It's solid, well laid out with plenty of living space, natural light front and back, and everything you need for a great stay in London. The flat will be mostly empty of my things so it will feel like your own place. I have a friend who lives nearby should there be any worries. The surrounding area is leafy, green and peaceful, super well connected and safe at night. It generally takes around 30-40 mins to get to anywhere in Central London door to door. The nearest station is West Norwood (7 mins), Tulse Hill (20 mins) or West Dulwich (20 mins). Victoria, London Bridge, Farringdon, Kings Cross are all around 25 mins by direct train. Brixton Underground is around 15-20 mins by bus, or 10 mins on a Lime Bike. A well laid out first floor Victorian conversion flat on a wide street, the living room has large new double glazed wooden windows, and features a super comfortable sofa, large widescreen Samsung TV, a Noguchi-style coffee table and plenty of plants that need watering! The south-facing bedroom at the rear of the property gets bathed in light in the mornings through equally large large sash windows, which overlook some lovely urban greenery. It has a solid oak bed, John Lewis mattress with large storage drawers underneath, and built-in cupboard space for clothes etc. The kitchen is in the middle of the flat and is well kitted out with everything you need – fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle, blender, pots, pans, utensils, etc. The bathroom sits just off to the side of the flat and features a bath, newly installed powerful electric shower, toilet, sink and storage space. The flat is accessed through the main front door downstairs, shared with my lovely (and quiet!) neighbours. I'm looking for someone to take the flat for the whole period I'm away, though can be flexible if you need it for slightly more time. The other residents in the building are great and the place is well looked after – we all get along very well – so I'm looking for someone both respectful and low key, no mad parties please. £700 deposit required in advance + rent upfront. I’ll ask you to sign a contract for the full period. Keeping the flat clean, tidy and in good repair will be your responsibility. I’ll make a video record of the flat’s condition before I leave, which I’ll share with you – I’d recommend you do the same for peace of mind. Any damage will be deducted from the deposit, but I’ll be fully transparent about any costs. I've had my fair share of rubbish landlords while renting in London, so I know how stressful it can be finding somewhere comfortable to stay – so I aim to make the process as smooth as possible.
